“I want to have a beautiful home”

Future Fund of the Georgian Bank supported opening of family type children’s home in Rustavi. It was the initiative of the Ministry of Helath of Georgia. The home is financially supported by the ministry, the project is monitored by the Rustavi department of the children’s care and Future Fund of the Georgian Bank, coordination process is conducted by the NGO “A Child and Environment”.

The munber of homeless children is quite big in Georgia. Part of children are in the rehabilitation centers, and part is still in the street. Each year financial aids are allocated for the homeless kids but the problem still remains the same and the number increases. The Rustavi Orphanage is being functioning for years and the number of children is permanently increasing. Family type children’s home was opened from the December 1^st, 2009 in Rustavi where 9 kids live in the family environment.
