On January 31 board members of CiDA gathered and assessed the organization’s activities in the last year. Executive Director of CiDA Zviad Devdariani briefed the board members on implemented project activities, discussed the budget of the organization, and introduced future plans and projects.

The board members evaluated CiDA activities in 2016, fundraising, planning actions, as well as budget management positively. Finally, the board adopted the 2017 budget.

CiDA organized a two day training for business representatives from Kvemo Kartli on the topic of public relations and marketing. Training participants were informed about marketing, integrated marketing communications, and social media tools that are used to develop regional businesses. Training participants included both Georgian and Armenian business representatives who exchanged their experience in the related fields. Participants discussed the procedures of new product presentations and talked about preferences and attitudes of clients.

Similar training will be arranged in Armenia as well, where business representatives from Kvemo Kartli will take part.

The Project “Cross-Border Economic Development” is aimed at improving living conditions of the bordering communities in the Kvemo Kartli and Tavush regions and strengthening their cross-border potential, primarily in the field of agriculture. Also, the Project published “Guideline for Starting Business in Armenia and Georgia” in order to provide assistance for potential business partners in the neighbouring regions in such issues as registration, taxation, and licenses.

CED project is implemented by the Civil Development Agency (CiDA) in partnership with the Support for Noyemberyan (SFN) and the Northern Branch of Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) with the financial assistance of EU.
